ABS ring gear (tone wheel) for Higer city buses and coaches. The ring is press-fitted on the wheel hub or transmission output flange and generates the pulse signal read by the ABS wheel speed sensor. A worn or cracked ring causes ABS warning lights, false wheel speed faults and loss of ABS and EBS function, so replacing it with a correctly toothed ring restores accurate wheel speed signals.

Installation Notes

1. Remove the hub or flange and clean the ring seat of rust and old retaining compound.
2. Heat the new ring evenly if required and press it square onto the seat, never hammer it on.
3. Check the air gap between the ring teeth and the speed sensor before refitting the wheel.
4. Road test and confirm the ABS lamp clears and no wheel speed fault returns.
