Higer Bus Passenger Door Remote Control

Wireless remote control for the passenger door of Higer coaches and city buses. The handset lets the driver or the door attendant open and close the passenger door from outside the vehicle, which is useful for depot movements, cleaning and for boarding assistance at stops. The transmitter is supplied as a learning type handset, so it can be paired to the existing door control receiver without replacing the receiver unit.

When to Replace the Remote

• Door no longer responds to the handset, but the dash switch still works
• Operating distance has dropped to a few metres
• Buttons worn through, or the case cracked and no longer sealed
• Handset lost, so a second unit is needed as a spare

Pairing and Use Notes

1. Open the door control receiver cover and press the pairing button as described in the vehicle manual.
2. Press the open button on the new handset within the pairing window, then confirm the door responds.
3. Test open and close from several positions around the bus before handing the remote to the driver.
4. If range is short, check the receiver antenna and the handset battery before assuming a fault.

Packing and Supply

Each remote is bubble wrapped with its battery fitted or supplied loose, packed in a small carton. Neutral packing and mixed container loading with other Higer body and electrical parts are available.
