Flasher relay for Zhongtong buses and coaches, current part number ZTSG and an exact replacement for the earlier SG996 unit. The relay drives the turn signal and hazard lamp circuits and produces the regulated on and off pulse that makes the lamps flash. It plugs into the original relay socket, so a failed flasher is a straight swap without cutting into the harness.

Fault Signs of a Failed Flasher Relay

• Indicators light up but do not flash, or stay on continuously
• Flash rate much faster or slower than normal on both sides
• Hazard lamps work but turn signals do not, or the reverse

• Burnt smell or discoloured relay case in the junction box

Installation Notes

1. Switch off the battery master before touching the relay socket.
2. Locate the flasher relay in the central junction box and pull it straight out of the socket.
3. Check the socket pins for corrosion and bend them back into shape if needed.
4. Push the new relay fully into the socket and test both turn signal and hazard functions.
5. If the flash rate is wrong after fitting, check the bulb wattage and earth points before assuming a relay fault.
